What happens if I need to cancel? Can I have a refund?
If you cancel 24 hours or more before your session, you’re entitled to a session credit that you can use towards a future session of the same value.
To receive your credit, please follow these two steps:
1. Decline the session in Spond
2. Fill out a quick refund request form
Right now, Spond doesn’t make it easy to know when someone requests a credit, so the form helps us track these requests and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. The committee will review refund requests once per week.
Note: If you cancel less than 24 hours before a session, you will not be entitled to a session credit, even if someone else backfills your spot.
Spond charged for a session but I’m on the waitlist - what happened?
Sometimes, when lots of people register for the same session at the same time, this happens. (Basically, Spond knows there’s a spot open and lets you proceed to pay, but by the time your payment completes, people have already paid, so Spond places you onto the waitlist.)
In this case you have two options: stay on the waitlist and see if you get a spot from someone cancelling OR decline your spot and we can hold your payment as a credit towards a future session. Please follow the refund request process if you’d like to go the credit route.
